Our Mission

Legacy of Success Foundation (LOSF) is a business and cultural organization that was formed to bring the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender (LGBT) community of color together.

LOSF will accomplish this mission by:

· Hosting our Annual Heritage Celebration Fund Raiser and awarding the Hazel Hatcher Scholarship along with other social gatherings throughout the year.

· Actively becoming involved in all segments of the African American LGBT community so that chains that bind our minds will be broken and a certain sense of freedom can be obtained.

· Supporting the events of affiliate organizations and community partners

· Encouraging social awareness and social justice

History of LOSF

Legacy of Success began in December 2001 when our founders saw the need to continue the works of Best of Company who annually hosted a Black history Month Program for the LGBT community.  This program, aptly names Heritage Celebration, would continue to provide an event that would acknowledge the accomplishments of our ancestors while celebrating present African American LGBT community leaders.  This idea grew to include highlighting the positive images of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) and Same Gender Loving (SGL) People of Color in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex all year.  Foundation was added to the organization’s name and Legacy of Success Foundation (LOSF) officially became a non-profit organization in July of 2007.
